This literacy resource is designed for EYFS and KS1, focusing on story creation, speaking and listening, and creative writing. It features a colour poster of ‘Fantasy Land’, complete with princesses, fairies, dragons, castles, houses, and a pirate ship. A black-and-white version of the poster is also provided for children to colour in. Additionally, each of the 20 images from the poster is available on individual worksheets in both colour and black-and-white formats, allowing for personalised colouring activities. Children can use these images to inspire and create their own stories, either individually or in groups, fostering creativity and enhancing their storytelling and communication skills. A fun way for children to develop their handwriting skills and fine motor control. There are 21 cartoon animal characters each with a name and letters to trace over or colour in. The characters include Percy the pig, Zoe the zebra, Rudolph the reindeer and Dolly the sheep. The characters are made from basic shapes and can be coloured in and cut out. A complete lesson for young children linked to Literacy and Sports. Start with the short story to share with the children which aims to show how teamwork and perseverance can overcome difficulties. Children can colour in the picture and answer the 6 comprehension questions about the story on sheet 2. Sheet 3 asks the children to find and underline pairs of rhyming words and then write them.They can then trace the frog and his tennis ball. Sheet 4 is a doodle sheet with tennis related pictures to colour. The lesson links in nicely with Sports Day and Wimbledon.
